Britta Meyer is an accomplished, innovative photographer, based in Byron Bay. With over 20 years of experience, her mastery of capturing the raw moments, the action and the real stories as they unfold, stands out within every genre she photographs. Her work spans a diverse range of genres including portraiture, family, wedding, photojournalism, action sports, snow, ocean, branding and travel.
Having grown up with the Victorian Alps as her playground, and after first picking up her dad’s old film SLR camera at the age of 12, Britta developed a deep connection to the mountains and photography from a young age. Britta studied photography throughout high school and later completed her Degree in Photography and Graphic Design at RMIT, Melbourne.
Britta took combined her experience and knowledge of timing and composition with her professional free-skiing, which led to her becoming one of her generation’s most innovative snow-sports photographers. She served as a freelance photographer to various ski and snowboard publications around the globe for a decade.
With her additional Graphic Design Degree, Britta easily collaborates with publishers and art directors contributing to creative design. And her skill of mixing manual and digital photographic mediums became a distinctive part of her creative expression, which is reflected in the accolades collected early in her career.
Her love of the snow and mountains naturally extends to the ocean - she enjoys beach life and surfing on the coastline of Byron Bay, where she now resides.
Known for her warm, down-to-earth personality, Britta enjoys a nature-filled life with her partner Pritamo and their two boys. Britta brings ideas to life with limitless possibilities and is available to work anywhere throughout Australia and worldwide.
